Hokkaido Team Update

The past few days have been filled with kids, fliers, and gardening. The team has been passing out fliers to kids after school for different church activities. These activities consist of games, snacks, singing, and the mime. We have also had the opportunity to help at a church by pulling weeds in the yard. Along with the onsen, one of our favorite things has been visiting a high school for after school clubs. We learned kendo and how to draw anime. Each night we finish with a Japanese food challenge – some good, some “different”.

Hokkaido Activity

The Hokkaido team has been busy with handing out over 900 tracks, painting a church, and working with kids in an after school activity. With all of the work that has been going on, the team decided to relax with face masks and painting nails.

We made it -Hokkaido

After missing a flight and spending the night in Tokyo, we finally made it to Hokkaido! As soon as we landed, we dropped off our luggage and went straight to a local church where we enjoyed Japanese curry. After that, we shared our songs. Even though they weren’t perfect, the locals still enjoyed them and were happy we were there. Later, we went to the JR Tower where we could see the entire city of  Sapporo (38 floors up). We had a prayer walk where we walked around and prayed looking out of the tower at the city. It was a humbling experience, and the team is glad we started with this experience.
