A Month of Travel, Retreat, and Renewal

Clint Morgan’s wife, Lynette, shares that she and Clint recently returned to the U.S. after a month of travel overseas. Just days later, they were on the road again for weekend services in North Carolina, where they were warmly welcomed by Bethel FWB Church in Kinston. Clint also spoke in chapel at Bethel Christian Academy before they returned home.

This week, Clint and Lynette—along with missionaries on furlough, IM staff, and board members—are headed to Arkansas for the annual missionary retreat. This special time is designed for encouragement, fellowship, rest, and spiritual renewal. Following the retreat, they will join former missionaries Mike and Cathy Corley for Sunday services.

The pace has been full for many IM leaders. In recent weeks:

  • Curt Holland traveled to Bulgaria
  • Kenneth Eagleton returned from Africa
  • Don Matchett was in Japan
  • Danny Gasperson just arrived back from Uganda

Next week, IM directors will head straight into their annual “Labor Camp” in East Tennessee, a focused time of prayer, planning, and seeking God’s direction for the ministry.

Encouragement is also coming from the next generation. At Welch College, the Prayer Band is growing rapidly. Clint has already met with several young people seeking guidance about missions, including alumni of CMP, Truth and Peace, and ETEAM. Lynette also asks for prayer for Leslie Nichols and her team as they carefully review ETEAM applications for the coming year.

Lynette closes with a reminder: “Nothing can be accomplished for Him without our prayers.” Join us in prayer over these next few weeks!
