Bailey Bulletin January 2020

Happy 2020 from Japan! We thank you for praying for our recent Christmas Outreach programs at Kamifukuoka Christ Church. There were unsaved at each event, with several hearing the Gospel for the very first time! Each person attending the meetings was given a Bible Digest, and all of the children received Christian books and gifts. Please pray with us that the Holy Spirit will work in the hearts of the lost through the messages heard!

We Have a Daughter-in-law!

Our son, Benjamin, and Ayumi Watanabe were married in Kyoto, Japan, on November 22nd, and we're thrilled to welcome her into our family! Ben and Ayumi are both professors at Ritsumeikan University in Kyoto. We're praising God for His blessings in this union and also being able to meet Ayumi's family recently in Kyoto. They're planning an American wedding in February, and it will be exciting to have Ayumi's family and ours join together for this special celebration!

FWB Church 50th Anniversary

November 10, 2019, we were privileged to participate in the 50th Anniversary Celebration of Iriso Christ Church, started by missionaries Fred and Evelyn Hersey. This was the first church we attended after arriving in Japan in 1983, and we were blessed to lead the church for eleven years after the Herseys returned to the States in 1988. It was wonderful to see many former members we had worshipped with in years past. Fred and Jane Tanaka, retired Child Evangelism leadership and former Iriso members, were able to attend and it was a joy to reconnect! Another blessing was reuniting with the Tochikura family; Ken led Mrs. Tochikura to Christ in the mid-nineties when she was an English/Bible class member. Soon after her baptism, he led her bedridden father-in-law to Christ, and later her husband and daughters also became believers! We were honored to have a Christian funeral for the older Mr. Tochikura when he passed away! Fred Hersey and son Paul were able to join the meeting by SKYPE, a special treat! Ken and I were also presented with gold medals by Pastor Kojima's son for our years of service at Iriso Church.

Our Mission Funding

In November of last year we sent an appeal letter regarding our financial situation. According to the December IM Newsbeat, our account balance at the end of October was $10,684.64. Several special offerings have been given recently, but we are still needing additional support. If you desire to be part of our Japan ministries, please visit the link below to donate.
