Myriam Le Louarn

Myriam (Mimi) was appointed as a short-term intern to France in the April 2015 board meeting. She will work with the J’Pense team—Dennis, Carol, Joel, and Lydie Teague—in their outreach ministries, J’Crois (I believe) and J’Pense (I think). J’Crois, initiated to encourage and strengthen young French believers, has resulted in several salvation decisions. J’Pense brings people together in a neutral environment and addresses their pressing questions about life (apologetics) with the goal of introducing them to Christ.

Myriam was extremely close to her older sister, Lydie. When Lydie became a Christian at the age of 18, Myriam began following her to youth group and church. Lydie challenged Mimi to think about why she was on earth and to study the Bible. At the age of 14, Myriam gave her heart to Christ.

She determined right from the start that being a Christian meant complete devotion to God. The examples of missionaries, their honest love for the French people, and evident sense of urgency for reaching the lost moved Myriam to mimic their example.

Myriam attended Hillsdale College (Moore, Oklahoma) for the 2014-2015 academic year. In addition to her studies, she toured as a member of the college’s New Life Singers. Myriam is pursuing her associate’s degree.

Prior to her time at Hillsdale, Mimi lived in her home country of France and studied at the Université of Nantes. At age 15, she began helping the Teagues with J’Crois (I believe) youth events. Mimi invited her school friends to youth events and shared the gospel with them. After graduating high school, she spent six months working with Operation Mobilization in South Africa.

Mimi matured spiritually during her six-month missions experience. When she returned to France, Lydie Teague (her sister) asked her to help with the St. Sebastien youth group. Mimi thrived in this role. She also used her social skills to meet and invite people to participate in J’Pense events and small groups.

Myriam is passionate about seeing scores of French youth come to know Jesus as Savior. She told board members, “I just want to talk about Jesus all the time.”
