Bio

PRESENT MINISTRY
Approved as a missionary intern to Japan, in December 2019, Walt is seeking prayer and financial partners for his two-year internship.

CONVERSION
Born into a Christian home in Oklahoma, Walt accepted Jesus as Savior around six years old. As a 16-year-old, and after a panic attack, he began intentionally pursuing his relationship with God through consistent devotional time and prayer.

This led to a desire to truly understand Scripture and his belief system. He enrolled in Randall University in Moore, Oklahoma, as a theology major.

EARLY MINISTRY
While at Randall, Walt began studying Japanese. God used his love of the Japanese language and culture to instill a deep desire to serve the people of Japan. Walt changed his major to missions. Eventually, he participated in a College Missions Programs trip to Tokyo, Japan, and worked with the Hope Alive team. Walt maintains relationships with several Japanese people he met during that month-long service.

Walt graduated in 2018 with a B.A. emphasis in intercultural studies. He currently co-teaches a young adult Connect Group/Sunday School class in his home church.
