IM Student Missions Program Moves into the Future

Antioch, TN – We at IM value our students and we are excited about the future of our student missions program. That’s why ministries like ETEAM (for high school students) and CMP/OA (for college students) have been so vital to the extension of the Kingdom. These programs allow young people to get hands-on missions experience as they grow in their awareness of missions and sense God’s leading to serve Him around the world.

There are two upcoming changes in IM personnel:

As Hanna Mott will be stepping down at the end of December, Lauren Herren, from Nashville, Tennessee, has been chosen to fill the role of ETEAM Coordinator. Lauren has a sincere desire to impact the lives of young people for Christ. Clint Morgan states, “I have no doubts Lauren will do well in leading this very demanding, but highly rewarding ministry. Her faith in Christ and love for all people will be a perfect fit for the future of ETEAM.”

Leslie Nichols, who presently serves as the Student Ministries Coordinator, has been chosen to step into the role of Director of Mobilization, beginning January 1, 2023. She is following Neil Gilliland, who will be retiring at the end of the year. Leslie brings many gifts, as Clint Morgan enthusiastically says, “I believe Leslie has the passion and qualifications for this position and will do an amazing job preparing us as Free Will Baptists to be a strong mission-minded denomination.”

An African leader once wrote that our young people are the “arrows to the future”. Pray for Lauren and Leslie in their new roles as they work to send out young “arrows” who will point us to the future of missions.
