Inauguration of Renovated Maternity in Doropo

Almost a month ago I posted that the maternity of our FWB Hospital in Doropo was undergoing much needed renovations. I am happy to inform you that they were able to finish during the month of January. On February 1st a simple ceremony was held to inaugurate the renovated facilities with new equipment.

Sherwood Lee, RN, former medical missionary in this very hospital for many years, was on a missions trip back to Doropo and was able to participate in the ceremony. Currently, Dr. Katiuska (in the black dress), from Cuba, serves as a physician in the hospital there.

We are certainly grateful for all who have contributed to the IMPact IC Miley Project which was established to help with renovations to the hospital facilities and upgrade in the medical equipment. We have been able to help BERACA (the FWB NGO that manages the hospital) in the construction of a new infirmary and now the renovation of the maternity. The upgrades to the hospital will continue as the Lord provides the funds.
