Shumen Bound!

Brenton & Debbie Driscoll

Shumen Bound!

So much has happened in the Driscoll house in the last week: Brenton’s visa arrived in the mail, we bought our plane tickets for Bulgaria, we have finished packing up and have moved out of our apartment,  we are saying goodbyes to dear friends and family, and we are leaving for Shumen on Friday!

We praise our Lord for getting us this far and cannot wait to see what He is going to do as we begin life in Bulgaria very soon!

Some of you who live in the Nashville area have asked if it would be okay for you to come say goodbye to us at the airport. We would absolutely LOVE to see you and pray with you before we leave! We will try to say our “see you laters” from 8:30–9:00 am on June 5 (Friday) in front of the Delta check-in desks, so we’ll look forward to seeing you then!

Prayer Requests

We are so thankful for your continued support and prayers for our family as we prepare for this big transition. Please pray for strength for both of us, but specifically for Debbie who has struggled with bad sciatic pain for the last couple of months. Pray that our Lord will be with both of us during the long trip (4 flights) and that we will be able to arrive in Bulgaria safely (and that all of our suitcases will arrive in Bulgaria as well!).

Thank You!

We cannot say “Thank you!” enough to all of you who have faithfully prayed for us and for the ministry in Shumen since the very beginning of our journey. God has truly used you to uplift us and to show us more of His character, and we praise Him for that. We cannot wait to join the whole Bulgaria team (and our Shumen team, the Provow family) and to serve alongside them for the sake of the gospel in Bulgaria. May our LORD be glorified for all the wondrous deeds He has done so far and for the ones He will continue to do!
In Christ,
Brenton, Debbie, and Baby Driscoll
P.S. The picture that you see at the very beginning is of the Monument to 1,300 Years of Bulgaria, located in… SHUMEN! We cannot wait to see all that will unfold as we settle into this new city and into a new season of life, while we watch all that God will do in bringing people closer to Himself!
