India: Pray for Stanley RajKumar of South India and Carlisle Hanna and his son Dr. Don Hanna. The South Carolina State Association of Free Will Baptists will honor Carlisle Hanna's 65 years of ministry in India at the state meeting February 25-26.Dr. RajKumar will speak as well.
Bulgaria: Pray for the work in Varna, Bulgaria. Ask God to use the English language classes to engage individuals in conversations that lead to a clear explanation of the gospel. Pray many who attend the various outreach events will also attend the Sunday services. Pray for Trif and Vanya Trifonov and their family to see fruit for their diligent labor.
Uruguay: Uruguayan women will gather for their first national ladies’ retreat this weekend, February 26-28. Kathia Mendoza—wife of Panamanian Pastor Cirilo Mendoza in Chitré, Panama—will be the speaker. Pray for Kathia as she prepares to speak. Pray for her health and travel from Panama. Ask God for a good turnout from the churches. Pray women will be encouraged and strengthened in their faith. Pray unsaved family and friends who attend will be drawn to Christ.
The Hanna Project: Pray for the teams heading to Côte d’Ivoire. Leaving March 1: Clint and Lynette Morgan (TN), Curt Holland (TN), Elizabeth Hodges (TN), Mason Mandy (TN), Daniel Osborne (VA), Kenneth Eagleton (Brazil), Tony Dillard (OK), and Gaelle Deperrier (France). Leaving March 4: Jacob Austin, Maggie Berry, Daniel DeCresie, Maegan Ferguson, Joel Gibbs, Abigail Greenwood, Adam Hall, Dakota Herren, James Hodges, Lacy Johnston, Cara Jones, Lauren LaMotte, Shawn Marr, Ellen Parrish, David Reeves, Elizabeth Snow, Kennedy White (all attend The Donelson Fellowship in Nashville, TN), and Sam McVay (TN). Some people will work at the Doropo hospital, providing surgical training and performing surgeries; the majority will help complete an elementary school in Bondoukou and teach a soccer clinic.
Central Asia: Ask God to give Christians in Central Asia wisdom, boldness, and protection as they share Christ and live their faith in hostile environments. Pray those who are babes in Christ will grow strong in their faith. Pray various evangelistic efforts will scatter seed on fertile ground.
Japan: Pray for Mirial Gainer as she readjusts to the States and battles jetlag after her return on February 20. Ask God to give her peace as she follows His leading to return and care for her mother.
Samburu: Eddie and Amanda Simmons departed yesterday, February 23, for a short-term trip to Kenya. They will review the current ministry, evangelize in new areas, participate in discipleship and baptisms, work on their future home, and meet medical needs. Pray for safety as they travel, especially once they are on the ground. Ask God to meet their every need—spiritually, physically, culturally, and emotionally. Pray especially for Jackson, their Samburu coworker, who has been quite sick yet endeavors to continue to share the gospel.
Côte d’Ivoire: Free Will Baptist women of Côte d'Ivoire will meet near Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire, for their national retreat March 10-14. WNAC Director Elizabeth Hodges is the speaker. Pray for traveling mercies for each of the attendees. Ask the Lord to speak through Elizabeth to strengthen, encourage, and challenge these women. Praise God for the women around the States who sponsored Ivoirian ladies to attend the retreat.
India: Pray for those in Sonapur, India, preparing for their annual conference, beginning March 16. Ask God to give them wisdom and insight as they plan to receive, house, and feed thousands of people. Pray for a wall of protection around the compound. Ask God to be with Carlisle Hanna’s preparations to return to India shortly before the meeting.
