Pray that the true meaning of Christmas will be proclaimed and heard by believers and non-believers. Praise the Lord for the first couples’ dinner held at the Boa Esperança Mission Church in the state of Alagoas. There were non-believers in attendance.

Bulgaria

  • Tim & Lydia Awtrey – This week, we are hosting ten Christmas parties in conjunction with Samaritan’s Purse. Pray that the good news of Jesus will reach the ears of those who do not know Him.
  • Brenton & Debbie Driscoll – This Wednesday, December 14, our family is starting the very long drive from Nashville, Tennessee, to Chico, California. Please pray for safety on the road, as well as for our kids who will have to spend long hours and days in the car.
  • Jonathan & Amy Postlewaite – Pray for the believers in our churches who are often discouraged by the fact their family members, friends and coworkers show little to no interest in the gospel. Pray that God will encourage their hearts and give them the faith and perseverance to keep witnessing and sharing the love of Christ, even when it seems like it has no impact.
  • Trif & Vanya Trifonov – Please pray for the organization and running of the Christmas party for the Ukrainian kids. Also, pray for boldness and wisdom for our people as they share their faith and invite people to come and taste new life at New Life Church.

Japan

  • Ken & Judy Bailey – A dear senior citizen in our neighborhood, Mr. “A” showed up at Kamifukuoka Christ Church for the first time in April 2015. Since that time, he has been faithful to attend weekly Bible studies as his health permits, and we’ve requested prayer several times for his salvation. He has been hospitalized after back surgery two weeks ago and will be transferred to another hospital in a few days. He’s not allowed visitors, but he has asked for prayers for his recovery and rehabilitation. Please pray that during this hospitalization he will feel the Holy Spirit moving in his heart.
  • Doug & Miriam Bishop – We praise the Lord for the good turnout for the Aino Sato Church’s Kids’ Christmas party! Please pray for the Kita Hiroshima Church’s Kids’ Christmas party this Saturday, December 17. Also, pray for Miriam to get well soon, as she has been having migraines.
  • Rusty & Brenda Carney – We praise the Lord for the many different visitors we have had at KCC over the past month! Please pray we will be able to follow up well with them, and that God would continue to build His church here in the Kamifukuoka area of Japan. Also, please pray for our different Christmas events coming up in the next two weeks. Pray we have the wisdom to know how to best share the true reason for the season, that Christ would be magnified and glorified through all we do, and that people’s hearts would be open to receive the seeds sown through this season.

Pakistan

  • Kenneth Eagleton – Please pray for funds for the construction of one of our FWB churches. The building is not yet to the point where they can meet in it, and they have been forbidden by the authorities to meet elsewhere after they suffered an attack by gunmen while meeting in a house.
