Bulgaria
  • Tim & Lydia Awtrey – Praise God with us that we have had a large influx of new people at the church in Svishtov. Please pray that God will open up a new place for us to meet, as the place where we currently meet on Sundays is too small.
  • Trif & Vanya Trifonov – Please pray for us as we plan our visits to churches during our stateside assignment from May 23-August 8.
Cuba
  • Kenneth Eagleton – Please pray for our churches in Cuba as they face a huge exodus of people from the country and are losing many church leaders.
Ecuador
  • Adam & Carol Duncan –  Pray for us as we develop relationships with nationals. This week, we will work in a deeper indigenous community in medical care and translation in partnership with a student nursing team from South Dakota.
Educational Specialists (ITA)
  • Jeff & Susana Turnbough – Please pray for all the trainers and participants in the new Communication Matters Course that begins January 19 and runs for eight weeks. Our team has worked for a year creating this online course. We pray that God will use the materials, the trainers, and the experience of learning together in the community to bless the Church around the world. Also, please pray for an opportunity God has given ITA to apply for funding from a foundation. The invitation came from leaders in the executive team of the foundation who are grateful for graduates of ITA/LMC training. We are in the process of applying this week.
France
  • Matt & Cristina Price – Praise the Lord for a very good trip to Togo to explore possibilities for future a pastors’ training in October. These pastors are hungry for better training to improve their ministry to their churches and communities.
Japan
  • Jack & Ashley Ketteman – Language school resumed last week. Please pray that we will retain what we learn, grasp material quickly, and represent Christ well to our teachers.
Spain
  • Anthony & Lea Edgmon – The churches of our Spanish federation have been meeting over Zoom one Thursday a month to pray together. We are so thankful for how these meetings are encouraging and edifying those who participate. Our next meeting is tomorrow night. Please pray for the Galapagar, Villanueva, and Alpedrete churches as we seek to make Christ’s name known in our areas.
  • Josh & Bethany (THP) – Please pray for our team and community as we lost a dear friend and founding member of our outreach center on January 7. She was a friend to many, including those we serve at the center, and her loss is being felt around the world! Please pray that as we grieve with those at the center we can share the hope that we have and that opportunities to share truth will come out of the brokenness. Also, pray for several friends here who are actively looking for jobs. Unemployment in our area is extremely high, especially among the refugee community. Please pray for these friends to find a job and that we can share with them that people around the world are praying specifically for them.
Mission Family
  • Pray for our expecting missionary family: Lauren Herren (ETEAM). Pray that the baby will grow and mature as expected.
  • Pray for former missionaries struggling with a variety of health problems: Brother Carlisle Hanna (India), Jerry and Carol Pinkerton (Ivory Coast), Bobby and Sue Aycock (Brazil), Tom and Nancy Hughes (Brazil), Florine Coscia (Brazil), Dave and Pat Franks (Brazil), Ledgel and Sharon Ferguson (Ivory Coast and France), Glenda Fulcher (Uruguay and Panama), Mirial Gainer (Japan), Barb Haas (France), Sherwood and Vada Lee (Ivory Coast),  Amy Robinson (Uruguay), Tom Willey, Jr. (Cuba & Panama), and Don Robirds (Brazil, IM office).
