Bulgaria

  • Tim & Lydia Awtrey – Pray for Tim as he travels next week back to California to help care for his dad. Please also pray for three ladies who are taking part in our Alpha Course (a Bible study for the not-yet believers) who are hearing the gospel for the first time. Pray that the truth of Jesus Christ will seep deep into their hearts.
  • Brenton & Debbie Driscoll – Praise God for four new people who set foot in our church for the first time this past week! Pray that we will be able to continue building relationships with them and that the Lord would work in their hearts.
  • Trif & Vanya Trifonov – On October 19, we are starting the Alpha Course – a series of 12 discussions on the basic tenets of the Christian faith. Please pray for our people to be active and bold in their invitations, and for those invited to respond positively and come. Pray that the Holy Spirit would instill curiosity and interest in the non-Christians and would work in their hearts during and after the sessions. Thank you!

Ecuador

  • Adam & Carol Duncan – Continue to pray for the supply availability to the Ecuadorian people. One of our JKC partners, the Fosters, is expecting in April and they plan to deliver the baby in Ecuador. We thought we were out of the woods with my dad, Dennis, but he began having more symptoms late last week. He was hospitalized and received the diagnosis of Parkinson’s disease with a seizure disorder. Pray for the family as this disease progresses and for God’s peace.

France

  • Steve & Becky Riggs – We are grateful for improved relations with the neighbor above our church.  Pray that many who pass by the building will be interested and drop in for a visit.

Japan

  • Ken & Judy Bailey – We’re praising God for providing us a place to live! After three hours of negotiations, explanations by two government representatives, paperwork involving two separate contracts, we have officially been given the “green light” to move into a government apartment on October 21, directly in front of the Kamifukuoka train station. It’s right across the street from where we rented 2018-2020, and we have many contacts and friends in the area. THANK YOU for praying, and THANKS to God for His provision!
  • Doug & Miriam Bishop – Our son Linus will need to have minor surgery performed in the near future. We appreciate your prayers for his health and safety during the procedure.
  • Annabelle Ellis – Please ask the Lord to provide for Japan’s borders to be opened soon, if it would be in accordance with His will. We’ve been waiting on the Lord to move in this way for a long time; please ask Him to act so that the Gospel can continue to be heard in Japan.
  • Jack & Ashley Ketteman – Praise the Lord with us for His protection as we drove from Nashville to Michigan last week. Please continue to pray for safety and more financial partners as we travel for the next five weeks. Thank you!

Spain

  • Anthony & Lea Edgmon – Please pray with us for several people in our church. One lady has worked in the ICU throughout the entire COVID pandemic and is now dealing with physical and emotional exhaustion. A young father in the church is dealing with pain, weakness, and fatigue as a result of “long COVID.”  The older members of our church are also recovering emotionally from being isolated for so long. Pray for God’s strength for each situation.
  • Tim & Kristi Johnson – It was a joyous day in the Johnson household when, after four months of waiting, our container with our household goods from Spain finally arrived.  We are thankful for your prayers during all of this time we’ve been waiting. God’s timing is perfect, as our warmer clothes arrived just when the cool fall weather is beginning.

Uruguay

  • Jaimie & Tammy Lancaster – Pray for a very special meeting of Pastors, leaders, and their families on November 2. At this meeting, we’ll discuss their vision for the future of Uruguay and how the mission and missionaries can be best used to accomplish this vision. Pray for a great time of encouragement and vision-casting.

Mission Family

  • Pray for our expecting missionary family: Brenton and Debbie Driscoll (Bulgaria). Ask God to give good health and wisdom. Pray the baby will grow and mature as expected.
  • Please pray for our Stateside missionaries as they seek prayer and financial support.
  • Pray for those who are still affected by COVID around the world. Many countries around the world are still struggling.
  • Pray for former missionaries struggling with a variety of health problems: Carlisle Hanna (India), Jerry Pinkerton (Ivory Coast), Bobby and Sue Aycock (Brazil), Florine Coscia (Brazil), Ledgel and Sharon Ferguson (Ivory Coast and France), Glenda Fulcher (Uruguay and Panama), Mirial Gainer (Japan), Joe and Barb Haas (France), Sherwood and Vada Lee (Ivory Coast), Lloyd Plunkett (Côte d’Ivoire), Amy Robinson (Uruguay), Tom Willey, Jr. (Cuba & Panama), and Don Robirds (Brazil, IM office).
