Bulgaria

  • Trif & Vanya Trifonov – Please pray for us to be able to invite a good number of people for the English language for beginners lessons starting next week.
  • Ken & Jayne Cash – Please pray for Ken’s hip replacement surgery this Tuesday, October 12th. We are praying for a routine surgery with no complications and quick healing and recovery. We are anxious to return to the field!
  • Brenton & Debbie Driscoll – Continue praying for the ladies’ book study which Debbie leads on Saturdays. Praise the Lord for a young man who has been meeting with Brenton and learning more about what it means to be a disciple of Christ—this past week he prayed for the first time in his life.

Ecuador

  • Adam & Carol Duncan – Continue to pray for the supply availability to the Ecuadorian people. For the school, we’re thankful that the in-person setting will provide more opportunities to share the love of Christ.

Educational Specialists (ITA)

  • Jeff & Susana Turnbough – Please pray for our African/European training team preparing for the virtual Relationship Matters Course that starts October 12th. This week we are meeting together to practice and prepare. All of the team members are seasoned leaders and experienced ITA residential trainers. However, training virtually is significantly different and challenging. Please pray for solid Internet connections for the team and participants, but most importantly please pray for God to use this training experience to encourage, equip, and energize these leaders in their Kingdom service context.

France

  • Steve & Becky Riggs – The church in Châteaubriant has had a couple of setbacks with some families who have moved. Pray for encouragement and renewed vision to reach new families. Pray for Becky’s ministry through her English classes that have restarted after COVID restrictions have been lightened.

Japan

  • Ken & Judy Bailey – After three weeks of negotiating with a local realtor on a house in our church neighborhood, we found out that the owner denied our application due to our religious affiliation. We visited another agency with a friend of ours last week, (Mr. “A” – many of you have been praying for his salvation since 2015), and are moving forward with a rental agreement on a small apartment on the seventh floor of Mr. “A”s building, to be signed on Saturday, October 9th. We’re praising God that He found something perfect for us! We’re a two-minute walk from our train station, in the neighborhood we’ve lived in since 2007. We’ve made many friends and have several contacts in this area, and we’re excited to be “home” again! Please pray for the two Mommy and Me classes, restarting this week.
  • Shannon Little – Thank you for your prayers as I’ve been saying goodbyes and preparing for my Stateside assignment! I am scheduled to arrive in Nashville, TN on Wednesday night, October 6th. Please pray for the safety of travel and that my year in America will be fruitful and fun. Please also pray for my dear friends, the fish shop lady, and the Disney lady. It was really hard to say goodbye to them today.

Kenya

  • Eddy & Amanda Simmons – Please pray for rain. Also, pray for Bryse & Victoria (Little) Paffile as they show the love of Jesus to the Samburu people through helping with their medical needs and through opportunities to share their testimonies.

Partnerships

  • Kenneth Eagleton – I have applied for a visa to go to Pakistan. They have asked for additional documents and now are requiring me to go in for an interview at the Pakistani consulate in Houston. Please pray that the authorities will grant this visa so that I may travel next week.

Spain

  • Anthony & Lea Edgmon – Praise the Lord that 53 people from the Alpedrete church were able to enjoy our first church retreat since the COVID pandemic began.  What a joy to catch up with one another face-to-face and enjoy gorgeous fall weather in the nearby mountains. The retreat was a huge encouragement for everyone who attended, from the youngest (two years old) to the oldest (80 years old). Praise God for preserving the love we have for one another throughout this extended time of separation due to restrictions.
  • Tim & Kristi Johnson – We continue to enjoy serving as the “Missionaries in Residence” at Welch College, getting to know students and faculty on a personal level.  We recently had all of the MKs from Welch over to our home for a meal. What a joy it was to listen to them laugh together, even in the midst of changing cultures from their fields back to the States. Pray that they would adjust well to this transition and that God would work in their lives and hearts during this time.

Mission Family

  • Please pray for our Stateside missionaries as they seek prayer and financial support.
  • Continue to pray for Rebecca Davies, daughter of retired missionaries to Brazil Bobby and Sue Aycock, who has been hospitalized in Nashville, Tennessee, with COVID19 for over three weeks. She has made improvements in the past several days.
  • Pray for those who are still affected by COVID, both in the US and around the world. Many countries around the world are still struggling.
  • Pray for former missionaries struggling with a variety of health problems: Jerry Pinkerton (Ivory Coast), Bobby and Sue Aycock (Brazil), Florine Coscia (Brazil), Ledgel and Sharon Ferguson (Ivory Coast and France), Glenda Fulcher (Uruguay and Panama), Mirial Gainer (Japan), Joe and Barb Haas (France), Sherwood and Vada Lee (Ivory Coast), Lloyd Plunkett (Côte d’Ivoire), Amy Robinson (Uruguay), Tom Willey, Jr. (Cuba & Panama), and Don Robirds (Brazil, IM office).
