Brazil

  • Kenneth Eagleton– Please pray for the upcoming meeting of the Alliance of FWB Churches in Brazil that will be held in Araras on September 23-25.

Bulgaria

  • Tim & Lydia Awtrey– Next week we begin our Alpha Course Bible study for new and non-believers. Please pray that people will attend with ears open to faith.
  • Brenton & Debbie Driscoll– We officially booked our plane tickets for September 24! Please pray for us as we pack and get ready for our trip to the States.
  • Jonathan & Amy Postlewaite– Very soon we will start back with our weekly Bible studies. Pray that these meetings will be opportunities for Christians to grow in their understanding of the Bible and that non-believers will continue to attend and come to believe the truth found within the Scriptures.
  • Josh Provow–  Please pray for the many students and teachers from our five churches who are starting the new school/academic year. Pray for our churches as we transition into the very busy autumn ministry season.

Ecuador

  • Adam & Carol Duncan–  Praise the Lord that our kids have had several new opportunities to practice Spanish in a Ecuadorian/Expat homeschooling group. We have encountered a few things that appear to be related to spiritual warfare in the last week. Along with this, there is a strong possibility that the mass demonstrations which caused shortages and blockades in June begin again this week or next; this is earlier than we initially thought. This comes well ahead of the rainy season that would literally “dampen” the protests.

France

  • Bryson Foulks– I’m praising God that I am currently 92% funded! Please pray for me as I prepare to go for cross-cultural training at CIT (Marion, NC) for six weeks, beginning on October 2. Pray as I work on my visa application.
  • Steve & Becky Riggs– Pray for Becky as she shares next week in Michigan in their ladies’ retreat and as she prepares to return to France on September 30. Pray for the church in Chateaubriant as they seek to see others come to Christ.

Ivory Coast

  • Kenneth Eagleton– Pray for an evangelistic crusade that will be held in Béttié on September 29 and 30, sponsored by the Abobo FWB Church with Pastor Pokiné Kambou as evangelist.

Japan

  • Rusty & Brenda Carney– Praise God that our Overseas Apprentice, Ben Barcroft, made it safely back to the States. He was a huge help while he was here and was able to build our contact base, making new acquaintances and touching many lives through the ministry of the Word, sharing his testimony, and ministering in song. Pray the Lord’s blessing and guidance for him in future ministry. Also, please continue to pray for Rusty’s foot. It was healing well from the surgery (having two screws put into his talus bone) and then he fell down the last couple of steps on the stairway in our house, landing on his bad foot! After an ambulance ride to the hospital and more x-rays, everything was determined to be okay with the surgical site and no new fractures. However, his ligaments were damaged again. Please pray for a miraculous recovery.
  • Hannah Goucher– Please pray for me as I continue to travel and find partnerships.
  • Jack & Ashley Ketteman– Praise the Lord with us for His healing of Ashley’s eye infection and for the favor that was shown as we renewed our Japanese driver’s license. Please continue to pray for those in western Japan who were affected by the typhoon earlier this week.
  • Taylor Pate – Praise the Lord! I have a full schedule for the rest of this year. Every Sunday I will get to spend time in our churches sharing about Japan. Please pray for safe travels, good connections, and potential part

Panama

  • Kenneth Eagleton– Praise the Lord for five people who were baptized at the Parita Church.

Mission Family

  • Pray for our expecting missionary family: Doug and Miriam Bishop (Japan)and Lauren Herren (home staff). Pray the babies will grow and mature as expected.
  • Pray for former missionaries struggling with a variety of health problems: Brother Carlisle Hanna (India), Jerry and Carol Pinkerton (Ivory Coast), Bobby and Sue Aycock (Brazil), Florine Coscia (Brazil), Ledgel and Sharon Ferguson (Ivory Coast and France), Glenda Fulcher (Uruguay and Panama), Mirial Gainer (Japan), Barb Haas (France), Sherwood and Vada Lee (Ivory Coast),  Amy Robinson (Uruguay), Tom Willey, Jr. (Cuba & Panama), and Don Robirds (Brazil, IM office).
