Brazil

  • Kenneth Eagleton – Praise the Lord for a well-attended meeting of the Alliance of FWB Churches. Reports of the meeting were very positive and two more churches have decided to join.

Bulgaria

  • Tim & Lydia Awtrey – Thank you for your prayers as we kick off many outreach events this week. I also ask that you pray for our people to grow deep. We have many new believers who are new and weak in the faith. Pray for them to be rooted and established in the love of Christ.
  • Jonathan & Amy Postlewaite – Last week I spoke with a man in the village of Odarne who owns a restaurant that has been closed for several years. I directly asked him about the possibility of renting it for the purpose of church gatherings. While he did not say yes, he also did not outright refuse me and told me that he would need to talk to his wife and adult kids. Please pray that God will provide this place for us if it is His will. Pray that if He has something else in mind, we will have patience while we wait for that open door. Ask God to continue to build the church through the addition of new people.
  • Trif & Vanya Trifonov – Please, pray for the organization and running of our daughter Monika’s wedding. Pray that Jesus would be in the center of the event and that the Holy Spirit would speak to all the non-Christians present there through all the details.

Cuba

  • Kenneth Eagleton – Continue to pray for the scarce availability of food and medicines that the people are facing. The FWB believers in Panama were able to get some much-needed medicines into the country. They are preparing a second shipment. Pray for this project.

Ecuador

  • Adam & Carol Duncan –Thank you for praying for the four teachers/workers from the Antioquia school who needed Visa appointments to remain in-country; these appointments happened last week! While Carol’s dad, Dennis, has not seen a neurologist yet, he met with a new doctor this week. The doctor stopped two medications that could be causing adverse effects like seizures. Please pray this was the cause and not something more serious. Continue to remember us as we travel and specifically seek monthly supporters. Many have been moved to give one time, but we need regular supporters to be sustained on the field. Carol hopes to receive word this week about the final class needed for graduation; pray that she is at peace with God’s timing.

Educational Specialists (ITA)

  • Jeff & Susana Turnbough – Thank the Lord for 15 Pakistanis who completed our virtual leadership training (Relationship Matters Course or RMC) this past week! Pray for these leaders as they now put into practice what they’ve learned. Pray for our team of trainers preparing this week in pre-course workshops for our leadership training course for Africa and European regions scheduled to begin October 12.

France

  • Jonathan & Michelle Chereau – Pray for Michelle as she is in Spain for a month to take care of her family, Please pray for her mother and sister. Pray for the JPense event Saturday, that we can connect with new contacts after more than one year without this event.
  • David & Mimi Reeves – Please would you join us in prayers for the JPense event happening on Saturday? These events are evangelical events and this week, the theme is “Is God and science incompatible?”. Please pray many seekers will come and that they will find the love of Christ through this event! David, Jade, and I will be flying to the event this week. Please pray for safety in travel and for the rest of the team, especially Joel Teague as he will be speaking.

India

  • Kenneth Eagleton – Reports from a specific area in India indicate that the attacks by fundamentalists on Christians meeting for services have been so frequent and intense that most churches have suspended their services. Please pray for believers there to remain faithful to the Lord.

Japan

  • Daniel & Kate Speer – Pray for us as we continue to raise financial support and partners in the ministry, including our all-day livestream this coming Saturday. Also continue to pray for safety while we are traveling, especially during our upcoming trip to Texas.

Kenya

  • Eddy & Amanda Simmons – Praise the Lord for some recent rain. Please continue to pray for more. Many of the people are still away from our area with their animals. Hopefully, they will return soon now that the bushes are getting new leaves. Please pray for safe travels for Bryse and Victoria (Little) Paffile. They are coming on a missions trip to our area. They will be helping with medical ministry and many other things. Praise God for another Samburu man who surrendered to Christ today! Please pray for our next visitor, April Libby. She is a medical person on the Mercy Ship West Africa. She wants to come on a visit to our place to see how a bush medical clinic operates. She will arrive the day that Bryse and Victoria leave. Please pray for progress to be made as we have 50+ Old Testament scripture passages recorded in the Samburu language. That will be added to the 143 New Testament passages already on the MP3 players. Please pray for our core leaders and key members as they write new Samburu songs. These new songs will be in traditional Samburu form, but they will be based on the stories that the people are learning each week.

Panama

  • Kenneth Eagleton – Praise the Lord for the ordination of Helilín Hernandez as pastor this past Saturday, Sept. 25th. Pastor Helilín and his wife have planted a new church in a settlement called Las Palmitas near the town of Las Tablas. Praise the Lord who continues to call forth laborers into His harvest.

Spain

  • Anthony & Lea Edgmon – This weekend the Alpedrete Church will be holding a church retreat in the lovely mountains nearby.  We have over 50 people signed up to participate! It will be a special time of reconnecting after so much time apart due to pandemic restrictions.  Pray for unity, encouragement, fellowship, and good health throughout the weekend.
  • Sam & Lauren Riggs – Last week, we asked you to pray for us to receive the two documents we needed from the Spanish government in order to purchase our plane tickets to Spain. Since then, we have received one of those documents! Praise the Lord! We have Emilia’s Spanish passport in hand, and now we are just waiting on our family book, which proves our marriage is legitimate and Emilia is our child. Please join us in prayer that God will see fit for this document to arrive soon, and we can buy our plane tickets!

Uruguay

  • Jaimie & Tammy Lancaster – Thank you for praying for our National Association. It went really well. It was good to meet with our brothers and sisters after over a year and a half of separation. We heard first-hand reports of how COVID-19 had affected the churches, but also stories of hope and God’s blessing. A new leadership team for the Association was elected. They are Carlos Silveira- President, Julio Figueroa- Vice President, Sandra de Moraes-Treasurer, Abdiel Corrales- Secretary. Please pray for this team as they lead the denomination that the Lord will give them the vision to reach Uruguay and the world.

Mission Family

  • Please pray for our Stateside missionaries as they seek prayer and financial support.
  • Rebecca Davies, daughter of retired missionaries to Brazil Bobby and Sue Aycock, has been hospitalized in Nashville, Tennessee, with COVID19 for over two weeks. Pray she can gain strength and that her lungs will heal.
  • Pray for those who are still affected by COVID. Many countries around the world are still struggling.
  • Pray for former missionaries struggling with a variety of health problems: Jerry Pinkerton (Ivory Coast), Bobby and Sue Aycock (Brazil), Florine Coscia (Brazil), Ledgel and Sharon Ferguson (Ivory Coast and France), Glenda Fulcher (Uruguay and Panama), Mirial Gainer (Japan), Joe and Barb Haas (France), Sherwood and Vada Lee (Ivory Coast), Lloyd Plunkett (Côte d’Ivoire), Amy Robinson (Uruguay), Tom Willey, Jr. (Cuba & Panama), and Don Robirds (Brazil, IM office).
