IMpact Japan – Hope Alive Ikebukuro Church Planting Fund

Support

Hope alive ikebukero (HAI) is the first church plant out of Hope Alive Tokorozawa. The HAI church plant is led by Osamu Sakamoto. Osamu started as an intern with Hope Alive Tokorozawa and became an associate pastor over time. He felt the call to lead a church plant near the heart of Tokyo just 15 minutes from his childhood home. Ikebukuro is the third largest train station in all of Japan. Which means our church will be accessible to over 2 million people a day.

In Japan, church is not accessible. We know this by looking at Japan’s strategy to reach their own people. They place 1 convenience store for every 2,000 people. This tells us how frequently placed a church should be. The HAI church plant is part of the Hope Alive Network goal of saturating Tokyo with the Gospel.

The funds given to this project will go towards equipping local leaders with the resources they need to reach their community through Gospel-centered outreach and Bible studies. It will also allow us to purchase necessary items used for Sunday worship such as: chairs, instruments, sound systems, hospitality, and more.

Thank you for equipping the saints in Japan and sending the Gospel to Japan.
