IMpact Ivory Coast Region Headquarters Project
The Free Will Baptist work in the northern sector of Cote d’Ivoire, Africa was officially opened in the village of Doropo in1960 with the construction of a hospital and missionary lodging by missionary builder Dan Merkh in preparation for the arrival in 1962 of Dr. and Mrs. LaVerne Miley.
Today in Cote d’Ivoire there are 101 Free Will Baptist churches and 85 mission points and church plants with over 10,800 believers worshipping every Sunday in Free Will Baptist churches. A large number of these churches and mission points are in the northern region.
Pastor NOUFE Roger, president and official representative for the Free Will Baptist churches in that area made the request for this project. This center will serve as the office of the president of the Northern Regional Association as well as a meeting place for association meetings and other special events.
The Free Will Baptist Foundation granted $35,000 for the construction of a central office for the Northern Regional Association of Free Will Baptist churches in Cote d’Ivoire, Africa. The total cost for the project is $55,000. The regional leaders were seeking $35,000 from outside sources with them taking responsibility for the $20,000 needed to complete the budgetary demands. They have already raised a bit over $5,000 of their commitment.
