Cody and Lauren Herren, IM Missionaries to France
We are Cody, Lauren, Thatcher, and Mallory Herren! We fell in love shortly after being set up by our mutual friend in college. After getting married in 2017, Lauren graduated as an RN, BSN, and Cody graduated with his Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2019. We were blessed with two amazing kids who are so much fun and made our hearts grow more than we thought possible. We love anything outdoors. Whether it is gardening, running, hiking, fishing, or snowboarding, we just love to be outside! We had the opportunity to be ETEAM coordinators from 2022-2025, which God used to prepare us for Him calling us to full-time overseas missions! Our internship will consist of learning and immersing ourselves into the culture, discipleship, as well as learning the “ins and outs” of church planting in France.
Why France?
We have long awaited this next chapter in our lives, as we have had the desire for foreign missions for more than a decade. We clearly heard the Lord tell us, “Follow me.” This meant to drop our plans for His plans, which have been so life-giving! So many open doors led us to France! One of the most secular countries, with less than 2% of the entire population being evangelical Christians. This broke our hearts that there are so many people in France who are living and dying without hearing the Gospel.
How you can pray for the Herren family:
- Pray for our kids as they are getting ready to transition to a brand-new country.
- Pray for the French and the unreached people we will encounter, that God would soften their hearts towards the Gospel.
- Pray for our family as we travel to tell others about our burden for France and ask them to partner with us!
