This is the question every pastor prays to hear.
Last week, I got a phone call from a guy who told me that he was from a Muslim family and then added, “But I want to become a Christian. How can I become a Christian?”
After overcoming my initial shock, I invited him to church the following day so we could talk. He did come—and he was not alone. He came with his wife and their two little kids.
It turned out that they were both born in Varna but were currently living in Berlin, Germany. We talked for about half an hour, and Y. told me that he had started reading the Injil (“New Testament” in Turkish), and he believed everything it said!
So I asked him whether he wanted to be baptized, and he said, “Yes!”
Just a couple of days later, he joined three more people from our church and was baptized in the Black Sea!
He even found a Turkish-speaking church in Berlin online and said he would go there. His wife is also considering putting her trust in Jesus, but she confided in me that she was afraid of her parents. I prayed for her to have the courage to do so.
Please pray for Y. and his wife, as well as for the other three who were baptized!
