Antioch, Tennessee—After a period of prayerful evaluation and consultation, the IM Board, upon the recommendation of the IM Leadership Team and in accordance with its authority to commission and recall missionaries, has officially released Eddy and Amanda Simmons from service with IM.

We remain thankful for the Simmons’ dedicated ministry and Gospel witness among the Samburu people of Kenya, Africa. Their years of service have produced lasting results for God’s kingdom. However, after careful consideration, the IM Leadership Team determined that continued service under IM appointment no longer aligns with the spirit of unity, cooperation, and accountability that are essential to our shared mission.

The Simmons will move oversight of the Samburu ministry to IM Global Partners, to be completed by January 31, 2026. This transition will conclude their formal appointment under IM, allowing them the freedom to pursue future ministry opportunities wherever God may lead them.

As we move forward, we ask that you receive this information with grace and prayer, refraining from speculation or divisive discussion. Let us continue to reflect the love, humility, and integrity of Christ in all we say and do.
