The first buildings of the Mission Medical Clinic in Doropo were built in the early 1960s. A first expansion included a patient ward, which made it possible to admit patients and function as a hospital. Later, an operating room and maternity room were added. In 1998, the hospital was turned over to African administration. After nearly 60 years, the buildings and equipment are aging, outdated, and need to be expanded again to accommodate a growing population. The IMpact Project is to help the hospital renovate its buildings, equipment, and build needs new facilities. The clinic was named after the pioneer missionary doctor who started the medical work in Doropo, Dr. Lavern Miley. This project is an on-going need.
