And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also. – 2 Timothy 2:2
The purpose of Project 2:2 is to prepare and execute a more effective, expandable, and easily repeatable evangelistic program using chronological biblical narratives from Creation to the Second Coming of Christ.
The tool will be an instruction manual, entitled “The History of God and Man,” for the storyteller, in French, that will supplement the provided narrative with the Scriptural passages to be studied ahead of time, questions to ask the audience at the end of the narrative, background material, and tips for storytelling. A training session is proposed to teach local leaders how to use the method, put it into practice, and teach others how to use it.
This tool has been successfully used in East Africa in Swahili and English. We propose to launch a French version. The stories were first compiled by Carol Lyons in the late 1990s, when she and her husband Steve were serving in Tanzania, East Africa. This program intends to address this deficiency, giving them a simple tool for a more culturally appropriate method of evangelism.
The total budget for this project is $15,000.
Ron Moore has volunteered to do the fundraising for the project, with the funds being managed by IM.
