IMpact Pop Willey Scholarship Fund

The Pop Willey Scholarship Fund exists to help Free Will Baptists overseas who wish to further their theological and leadership training (online or in person) from evangelical institutions of higher learning in the United States. Recipients for the scholarships are selected according to how strategic their studies are for the overall work of FWBs in their country and according to the availability of funds.

Currently, we have 16 FWB students from Panama, Cuba, Argentina, France, Pakistan, and Japan who are recipients of Pop Willey Scholarships and are pursuing certificates, BAs, MAs, and doctoral degrees.

The Willeys were pioneer missionaries to Cuba from the early 1940s. Eighty years ago Pop Willey started the first FWB Bible School outside the United States to train leaders for the work in that country. The scholarship fund is aptly named in his honor for pioneering the training of leaders.
