Bangladesh Bible translation

A small ethnic group in Bangladesh that is traditionally Buddhist, has had a small Christian community for several decades. Sixty-seven years ago, a translation of the Bible was attempted, but only lasted a couple of months.

Finally, last year, our partner in Bangladesh took the initiative of setting up a translation team within the people group and getting help from a specialized organization that provided the team with training and technical assistance. They worked diligently and finished the translation in one year. There were many barriers, including interrogations from officials and hacking of the computers. However, praise the Lord, the final check of the translation was completed this month.

Our partnership with Bangladesh aims to fund the printing of the Bible in the next few months and by November they should be ready to dedicate their New Testament. If you would like to help fund this project, you may give to the Bangladesh Partnership by clicking here.
