Training Leaders Who Train More Leaders

Jeff and Susana Turnbough spent 30 years of their ministry in Spain planting churches, discipling new believers, and training leaders to carry on the ministry there. The experience they gained was invaluable to them as they moved into their next phase of ministry…serving with the International Training Alliance to train leaders around the world.

One of the methods they use is called the Leadership Matters Course, where leaders come together for intensive two-week training sessions to learn how to practice and perfect their leadership skills. These important courses have been helpful to people like Dennis Jackson, the Executive Director of Global Partners. He was trained by Jeff, Susana, and other ITA trainers when he was first hired as the European area director of his mission agency. Speaking of his LMC training, Dennis said, “We believe that it’s going to impact the next generation in significant ways as leaders multiply leaders who multiply leaders.”

Martin de Lange, who works with Operation Mobilization, said that the Leadership Matters Course “completely revitalized and completely changed (his) ministry.”  He took what he learned back to where he was serving in southeast Turkey and implemented several elements of the training.
