Bulgaria

  • Tim & Lydia Awtrey – Pray for us as we travel to Bulgaria and prepare for our National Conference at the beginning of September.
  • Jonathan & Amy Postlewaite – In a few weeks we will have our national church conference here in Bulgaria. People from all of our churches, as well as a few guests, will attend. Pray that the Christians who will attend will be challenged by the messages and strengthened in their faith by the fellowship with other believers. Pray that the non-Christians in attendance will be drawn to Christ as they spend time with his followers and hear his Word proclaimed. Please be praying about another kids’ outreach in the village of Batsova Mahala, which we plan on conducting next week.

Ecuador

  • Adam & Carol Duncan – Pray for the missionary teachers traveling to the jungle (some for the first time) and for the new school year beginning soon. Continue to remember Carol’s dad, Dennis, as he continues to have seizures and has not been able to get an appointment with a neurologist any time this year. Praise: Adam’s mother, Janie, has completely recovered from her breast cancer surgeries earlier this year! Continue to remember us as we travel frequently in southern Missouri this month and as Carol completes clinic hours during the week.

Educational Specialist

  • Jeff & Susana Turnbough (ITA) –  We give God thanks that another mission organization joined the ITA this week–the Pakistan Partnership Initiative. Please pray for our training course beginning this Friday, August 20, specifically for 16 leaders in Pakistan. Pray for the five members of the training team, led by one of our senior trainers from India. This is a virtual course that will last six weeks. It is the first of the four courses that make up the LMC Online Courses.

France

  • Matt & Cristina Price – Praise the Lord for Jean’s salvation. Pray that he will continue to grow in his new faith. Thank you for praying for Cindy. Two weeks ago, she was in the ICU with Covid. This past Sunday, she was able to participate with the worship team.

Japan

  • Doug & Miriam Bishop-  Please pray for our physical health as we have all been sick (not with covid) off and on for two weeks. Please continue to pray for Hazel and Linus’ passport situation.
  • Rusty & Brenda Carney  – We had a young couple attend the service at our church (KCC) this past Sunday. The husband is a Christian but the wife is not. They hadn’t been there since they had a miscarriage about 8 months ago… Please pray with us for them as their heart’s desire is to have children. Also, please pray for the wife as she seems to be open to Christianity. Pray the Holy Spirit would do an amazing work in the lives of this precious couple.
  • Ken & Judy Bailey – We will be taking our Covid tests on Saturday, the 21st, in preparation for boarding the flight to Japan on Tuesday, the 24th. Please pray that all of the new documentation needed will be accepted and the reentry process will go smoothly.

Kenya

  • Eddy & Amanda Simmons – Pray for wisdom for Amanda as she ministers the love of Jesus through our medical clinic. Please pray for the men at one of our worship gatherings. A place called Lekeje. We hope to identify faithful men who can be discipled to lead other worship gatherings. They are currently 3-4 faithful men. Also, pray for rain. The drought is becoming severe. Samburu families are suffering. Their animals are suffering.

Spain

  • Anthony & Lea Edgmon- Our daughter Emily will be returning to Welch College on Saturday to begin her sophomore year.  We appreciate your prayers for her as she continues learning all God has to teach her.  Marc will be leading worship here at the Alpedrete church on Sunday for the first time.  Please pray for him as he chooses music and prepares Scripture readings for the service.
  • Tim & Kristi Johnson  – Thanks for your prayers for our family as we have been transitioning from Spain to the States, where we will be serving as the Missionaries in Residence at Welch College this year. Before we left Spain, we packed our belongings into a container to ship back to the States. According to the shipping company, our container left Spain on August 12 and is set to arrive in the States on August 26. Please pray with us that everything will go well as the container crosses the ocean and goes through customs in these next few weeks.
