Bulgaria

  • Josh Provow – Please pray for the kids and me as we begin preparing for our return to Bulgaria next month.
  • Brenton & Debbie Driscoll – Christmas is a busy time for outreach. Please pray for all the opportunities we will have to share the gospel with non-believers, as well as for our special Christmas candlelight service coming up next week.
  • Jonathan & Amy Postlewaite – On Monday and Wednesday of this week we went to four kindergartens in small villages. At each kindergarten, we presented a skit about the birth of Jesus and handed out gifts. Pray that God will use these visits to sow the seed of the gospel in the lives of the children and the adults who work there. Pray that they will lead to open doors for future disciple-making efforts in those villages.
  • Trif & Vanya Trifonov – Please pray for boldness and creativity in evangelism during the Christmas season and beyond, for God to remove barriers of fear and suspicion and prepare the soil for His Word. Also, pray for the upcoming new repairs in the church. Pray that God will provide funds, give us wisdom and perseverance to complete all the repair work, and make our prayer house a place for making disciples of Christ who are reaching out to the lost people of Varna.

Ecuador

  • Adam & Carol Duncan – We praise the Lord for answered prayer: one hour after the Hotline was posted last week, Carol received word about her needed preceptor types! She anticipates finishing clinical hours before the New Year. Pray for JKC’s Christmas outreach next week. Pray for us as we continue to prepare in the weeks ahead for CIT, Carol’s ANCC (FNP) board examination, saying goodbyes and moving to Ecuador in the new year.

Educational Specialists (ITA)

  • Jeff & Susana Turnbough – Please pray for the ITA Board that meets this week to approve the budget and plans for 2022. Also, please pray for the ITA Management team as we plan for 2022:
    1) Launching a new virtual course in January—the second of the LMC Online Courses: Working Together Matters (must finish materials, gather a team, and recruit participants)
    2) Launching a new LMC for Pastors in Canada (must finish materials)
    3) Residential training in Ghana, Hong Kong, and Thailand! Just this week we received word from Wycliffe Hong Kong to move forward with a residential LMC in June 2022 (following government guidelines and permissions).

France

  • Jonathan & Michelle Chereau – We will have a Christmas service on Sunday, with a story for the kids and songs. Pray that people will come; we continue to have some visitors every week. Pray that we can have an impact in Saint Sebastien.
  • Steve & Becky Riggs – We are thankful for a number of friends who attended our Christmas celebration on Dec 12. COVID-19 cases are again on the rise and have certainly had a negative impact during 2021, but all of the church family is presently well.

International Students – USA

  • Tyler & Kellie Penn – We had a great Christmas Baking Day with a dozen students over to enjoy baking some of our favorite Christmas treats. I was able to invite several to church with us and they were very interested. Please pray for a lady in my Bible study. Her name is Irina and her mom passed away this past month in Russia.

Japan

  • Ken & Judy Bailey – Please pray that the Holy Spirit will move in hearts in our special holiday meeting at Kamifukuoka Christ Church and Iriso Church:
December 16  – Iroso Church Women’s English Class Party
December 17 and 18 – Two Mommy and Me Class Parties
December 22 – Iroso Church Children’s English Party
December 26  – KCC Christmas Worship Service
January 1 – New Year’s Day Service at KCC
January 2 – Joint services with Iriso Church
  • Doug & Miriam Bishop – We’re thankful that we now have Hazel’s passport and her re-entry visa! Please pray for Linus’ passport to come quickly, and for us to get a re-entry visa for him from the Japanese consulate.
  • Shannon Little – I am finally feeling like I’m adjusted to life in America again. It only took 2 months! Thanks for your prayers. Please continue to pray for my students as they continue to study with Donnie and Ruth McDonald. Also please continue to pray for the Disney Lady and the Fish Shop Lady. I speak to them on the phone about once a week and they are both experiencing some difficult days. Thank you.

Spain

  • Anthony & Lea Edgmon – We are praising the Lord for Emily’s safe arrival for the Christmas holidays. This Friday night (1:00 PM CST) our church will be singing carols out front for our community to enjoy. Please pray as we transmit the truth of the gospel through song.
  • Sam & Lauren Riggs – Please pray for Sam this Saturday as he gives a devotion at the church youth service. Pray that God will give him the words to say and that the youth will be receptive to the Word of God.

Mission Family

  • Pray for our expecting missionary families: Brenton and Debbie Driscoll (Bulgaria) and Daniel and Kate Speer (Japan). Pray the babies will grow and mature as expected.
  • Please pray for our Stateside missionaries as they seek prayer and financial support.
  • Pray for those who are still affected by COVID around the world. Many countries around the world are still struggling.
  • Pray for former missionaries struggling with a variety of health problems: Carlisle Hanna (India), Jerry Pinkerton (Ivory Coast), Bobby and Sue Aycock (Brazil), Florine Coscia (Brazil), Ledgel and Sharon Ferguson (Ivory Coast and France), Glenda Fulcher (Uruguay and Panama), Mirial Gainer (Japan), Joe and Barb Haas (France), Sherwood and Vada Lee (Ivory Coast), Lloyd Plunkett (Côte d’Ivoire), Amy Robinson (Uruguay), Tom Willey, Jr. (Cuba & Panama), and Don Robirds (Brazil, IM office).
