Bulgaria

  • Tim & Lydia Awtrey – Praise God for helping us find a new meeting space for all those who want to attend. Please pray that God will fill this new building. Pray also for the five new people who are attending our Alpha Course (a Bible study for non-believers).
  • Brenton & Debbie Driscoll – Praise God for what has already been a fruitful time in California. Brenton’s burns have healed almost completely; we praise the Lord for protection and healing. Please continue to pray for prayer and financial partners in our ministry.
  • Josh Provow – Praise God for a young man in Novi Pazar and a young family in Shumen who are becoming more faithful in the churches there. Please pray for two outreaches that will start in the next two weeks: the Alpha Course at the church in Shumen (February 15) and a kids’ Bible club in an orphanage in the town of Kaspichan (February 18).
  • Jonathan & Amy Postlewaite – Many new international students have arrived recently to study at the medical university here in Pleven. Please pray that we will be able to connect not only with Christians who are seeking a church but also with unsaved students who might be needing help as they adjust to their new setting.
  • Trif & Vanya Trifonov – Please pray for boldness and wisdom for our people as they share their faith and invite people to come and taste new life at New Life Church. Pray also for the work on the elevator and the façade of the church building.

Ecuador

  • Adam & Carol Duncan – Pray for the pastors and us as we follow up with the commitments that were made during our medical brigade last week. Continue to pray for our language and community development, and for relationships with community leaders and the health department.

France

  • David & Myriam Reeves – Pray for the church of Saint Sebastien as we pray about and explore new outreach events and discipleship groups. Pray for our Connection Kidz events. We have made quite a few new relationships. Pray for open hearts to receive the Gospel.

Japan

  • Doug & Miriam Bishop – We are waiting for the Speers’ Certificate of Eligibility to come via mail. It has been two months, so pray that it will come soon! Pray for New Life Church as we are starting to host several events.
  • Rusty & Brenda Carney – Praise God for another visitor who showed up at KCC this past Sunday! Please pray with us as we have set the last Sunday in March as Baptism Sunday. We are praying that the Lord will work in the hearts of at least six people who have a connection to the church and that they would choose to follow the Lord in baptism.

Partnerships

  • Kenneth Eagleton – I am traveling to South Asia this week for two dedications of two New Testament translations of which FWBs have been a part, in two different locations in a majority Muslim country. The first one will be this weekend. Pray that this will be a huge encouragement to the Christians in these people groups and a tool to reach the unreached.

Spain

  • Anthony & Lea Edgmon – This Sunday, February 12, will be Youth Sunday at the Alpedrete church. A young guest preacher will give the message.  Please pray for our students as they lead the service. After church, all the teens will stay for lunch together and hear the testimony of a young man many have known over the years. His story is a real challenge to live an authentic faith. Pray that God will transform hearts.
  • Josh & Bethany (THP) – Please pray with us for friends who are seeking; it is so exciting to see them open to the Good News. Pray that the Holy Spirit will continue drawing them to Himself and that we will be sensitive to His leading. Pray for several friends who are looking for jobs. It is very difficult for immigrants and refugees to find employment here, no matter how qualified they are. Pray also for us at the center as we work on our paperwork renewal with the government so that we can continue our food distribution. It is a lot of work on top of the weekly paperwork that has to be done.

  • Please pray for the family of Thomas H. Willey Jr., who passed away on January 31. His funeral was held in Miami, Florida. Tom grew up in Cuba while his parents were missionaries there,  then served as a missionary there. He later in Panama.
  • Please pray for retired missionary to India, Brother Carlisle Hanna. He was admitted to the hospital Tuesday, January 31, with chest pains.
