What is College Missions Program?
Any college-aged student is eligible to apply for a CMP trip. Participation from a variety of schools across the U.S. is growing. Teams serve overseas from 10 days up to eight weeks with current IM missionaries and opportunities around the world. These opportunities open students’ eyes to cross-cultural ministry and give them a heart for reaching the nations with the gospel. Students will experience the life of an IM missionary and what it’s like to serve internationally reaching the unreached.
Student applications open on June 28, 2026. The reference forms and applications are due by October 15, 2026.
What is the Overseas Apprenticeship (OA) in College Missions Program?
OA’s spend 7-10 weeks serving on the field. The extended field experience is designed for those whose goal is to become a career missionary. This program fulfills missions course credit for students who are required to have the extended field experience to complete degree requirements set by the student’s college or university.

Experience life as a missionary in Bulgaria with a focus on relational evangelism and ministry competence.
The Awtreys are looking for up to four students (male or female) to serve for 6-8 weeks in May-June of 2027.
This trip is eligible for an Overseas Apprenticeship opportunity.
Students will be involved in outreach activities for English, Sunday ministry, some language and culture, creative ministry opportunities, and work alongside Japanese college students, etc.
The Bishops are looking for two sets of groups with four students (male or female) in each group to serve for about 5-6 weeks each, sometime in June-August of 2027.
These trips are eligible for an Overseas Apprenticeship opportunity.
Experience life as a missionary in Ecuador with a focus on nursing, construction, physical therapy, or a related field in their junior or senior year of college (STEM majors or Education majors are also welcome).
The Duncans are looking for up to four students (male or female) to serve for 3-4 weeks starting at the beginning of May and ending June 3-4 in 2027.

Experience life as a missionary in Japan with a focus on working at a local high school to build relationships with students, help students with their English pronunciation, and assist with church events.
Shannon Little is looking for two female students to serve for 6-10 weeks in the summer months of 2027.
This trip is eligible for an Overseas Apprenticeship opportunity.
Experience life as a missionary in Japan with a focus on discipleship and building on the Christian community in Tokyo at a new church plant. Osam and Emily are looking for students who are passionate and excited to meet new people and share the Gospel early and often. Students will be encouraged to find one close Christian friend in the church to grow with and to meet new people by hosting English events.
The Sakamotos are looking for up to three female students to serve for 5 weeks, starting in the middle of May through the middle of June in 2027.

Experience life as a missionary in Spain with a focus on experiencing culture firsthand, building relationships through gym/sports (maybe Nerf), helping at a local international school that ministers to third culture kids, assisting at a Spanish church, etc. If interested, there are also opportunities for students to learn to fight (Brazilian jiu-jitsu) at a top-level gym in Madrid and build off the relationships the Moragns have already established there–this is so vital to ministering in Spain.
The Morgans are looking for up to two male students to serve for 4 weeks, starting at the end of May through the end of June in 2027.
This trip is not eligible for an Overseas Apprenticeship opportunity.
Experience life as a missionary in Japan with a focus on VBS preparation and execution, outreach events, leadership opportunities, bible studies, teaching, worship team, and youth group.
The Culwells are looking for two female students to serve for 5-6 weeks in July through August 2027.
This trip is eligible for an Overseas Apprenticeship opportunity.
Experience life as a missionary in Japan with a focus on VBS curriculum, bilingual books & curriculum, kids’ bilingual worship music, and much more! Depending on the student’s gifts, talents, and abilities, these are the roles the Culwells would need filled: Graphic Designer, Photographer, Web Designer, Musician, Writer, Videographer, and Social Media Content Creator.
The Culwells are looking for one student to serve for 4-6 weeks in July 2027.

Experience life as a missionary in Japan with a focus on pastoral training, church-planting, outreach, and discipleship. This student will also be involved in outreach events.

Experience life as a missionary in Japan with a focus on worship music leadership. This student will also be involved in outreach events.

Experience life as a field worker serving in Southern France through English conversation, cultural outings with locals, café conversations, and language learning.
Shane and Joy are looking for up to two students (male or female) to serve for 3-4 weeks in May 2027.
This trip is not eligible for an Overseas Apprenticeship opportunity.
Experience life as a field worker serving in Japan through teaching English, learning Japanese and Japanese culture, engaging people in conversation at the train station, helping with worship services and music at church.
The Carneys are looking for up to four students (male or female) to serve for at least six weeks from the middle of May to the end of July 2027.
