Bulgaria

  • Josh Provow – There is a town near Shumen with a population of around 13,000. There is not a single evangelical church there. Recently, a young man from the town began searching for answers and connected to our Varna church and then later to our Shumen church. There are two ladies from the same town who were recently led to Christ by a woman in our church. On Friday (Sept 2) they will be coming to Shumen to talk about how to grow in Christ. My prayer is that God will open a door to gather at least these three people into a Bible study that one day will blossom into this town’s first church. Please pray with me!
  • Trif & Vanya Trifonov –  Please pray for the National Conference of the New Life Churches (Sept. 3-6) and the International Fellowship starting right after that. We expect about 110 believers from our churches and 20 pastors and leaders from the US and other countries. Pray for the Holy Spirit to work and guide us for the decisions we are going to make for the future of God’s work in our countries.

Ecuador

  • Adam & Carol Duncan – Praise the Lord with us that, despite some obstacles, we were able to get our Identification cards. This enables us to access health care, open a bank account, and buy a vehicle in the country. Continue to pray for us as we, Adam and Carol, continue in language school.

France

  • Jonathan & Michelle Chereau – We are thankful for the good health of our baby Olivia and Michelle. Please pray for the church in Saint Sébastien. Each week we have newcomers, and they feel welcome and want to come back. We are excited that God has a plan for this church.

India

  • Kenneth Eagleton – Pray for the victims of widespread flooding in Odisha state due to heavy rains. Pray for our partners as they seek to bring relief to some of those affected.

Ivory Coast

  • Kenneth Eagleton – Praise the Lord for nine students who completed the course on Christian Counseling that I taught in Bouna last week.

Japan

  • Doug & Miriam Bishop –  Thanks for praying for Mr. S! Doug was able to meet with him one more time before he returned to Tokyo. Please continue to pray that the Lord would work in his heart. Also, our two boys brought Covid home from preschool. Thankfully it is a mild case, but please pray for us as we quarantine and recover
  • Daniel & Shelby Culwell – Praise God that we became fully funded in August. Thank you for all your prayers. Continue to pray as we say goodbyes and prepare to leave for Japan on September 21.
  • Jack & Ashley Ketteman – Today (August 31), we are in the air flying to Tokyo! Thank you, thank you for praying for us! We are so grateful for the Body of Christ and our Father’s goodness to us.
  • Daniel & Kate Speer – We are 83 percent funded and are making progress every month toward heading back to Japan. Please pray that our remaining partnership would come in quickly, and that the Lord would continue to provide for us to return to the field in His perfect timing.

Pakistan

  • Kenneth Eagleton –  Pray for the victims of widespread flooding in two southern provinces of the country due to heavy rains. Pray for our partners as they seek to bring relief to some of those affected.

Partnerships

  • Kenneth Eagleton – Pray for the delegates of the International Fellowship of Free Will Baptist Churches who are traveling to Bulgaria to attend their national convention, followed by the International Fellowship Convention.

Spain

  • Anthony & Lea Edgmon – The month of September will find us renewing many activities that have been on hold during the summer. Please pray for leaders of the various ministries in the church as they make plans for the new school year.  We need special wisdom about our Christmas outreach.
  • Tim & Kristi Johnson – Today marks the end of our journey as IM missionaries to Spain.  We’ve spent the last 25 years loving the people of Spain and doing all we could to help them fall in love with Jesus.  We leave behind a church in the town of Alpedrete in the very capable hands of our fellow missionaries who will continue ministering with excellence.  As we look toward the future where Tim will be leading the Missions program at Welch College and Kristi will be the Development Communications Manager at IM, we give thanks to God for allowing us to serve our God and our denomination as ambassadors to Spain.

USA

  • Tyler & Kellie Penn – Please pray for connection with the new international students here at the University of Illinois. We will have about 50 students over this Friday (Sept. 2) for a cookout. We hope this begins a relationship that will lead to the exchange of the knowledge of Jesus. Also pray for a Chinese family that is moving to San Diego. They have been with us for eight years and have become a part of our family and church. We pray their faith will continue to grow in San Diego.

Mission Family

  • Pray for our expecting missionary family: Doug and Miriam Bishop (Japan). Pray the baby will grow and mature as expected.
  • Pray for former missionaries struggling with a variety of health problems: Brother Carlisle Hanna (India), Jerry and Carol Pinkerton (Ivory Coast), Bobby and Sue Aycock (Brazil), Florine Coscia (Brazil), Ledgel and Sharon Ferguson (Ivory Coast and France), Glenda Fulcher (Uruguay and Panama), Mirial Gainer (Japan), Barb Haas (France), Sherwood and Vada Lee (Ivory Coast),  Amy Robinson (Uruguay), Tom Willey, Jr. (Cuba & Panama), and Don Robirds (Brazil, IM office).
